Homeless folks face hunger daily, and working folks often skip meals so their children can eat. People without homes or jobs have little guarantee of a “next” meal. But everyone, no matter what their story, deserves a decent meal. So every Brown Bag lunch ensures that someone gets a good, full meal that day. A deli-style sandwich, hot homemade soup, fruit, cookies, and little munchies are in every lunch. 
We meet at 9:00 AM at the Friends Meeting House to prepare lunches, averaging 100 meals each day we go out. Then we distribute them on the streets to anyone in need. Please let us know if you can volunteer!
Volunteer qualifications: A caring heart and a couple hours of your time.
Donations to purchase food are welcome. Just $10 provides 5 people a fresh, filling meal served with care and friendship. Home-made cookies, brownies, or treats are welcome too! Feel free to support this project in whatever way is right for you. The more volunteers there are and the more food we can provide, the more folks we can serve on our Brown Bag days.
Whether donate money or prepare home-baked goods, your donation will feed people. Living Earth is not supported by corporate donors or foundations, so whether $5 or $50, your gift makes a difference.
Other ways to help: Solicit food donations from grocers where you shop. Ask friends or local businesses to donate in support this project. Any way you can help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
