Monday Evening Satsang / Dharma Circle

lavender toothwortDharma Circles invite us into the simple grace and quiet ease of the present moment.

Our practice is the path of the heart. Guided by non-dual teachings from the world’s wisdom traditions, we follow the breath within the breath, into the boundless terrain of love and compassion.

Bowing to Neem Karoli Baba, and Ram Dass, along with many other teachers, gurus, and adepts, we follow their footprints as we embrace this journey.

Each evening, an opening period of welcome and simple chanting leads into dharma reflection and dialogue. This is followed by 45 minutes to an hour of silent sitting and moving meditation. We close with readings of mystic poets from around the world and conversation.

The room is carpeted, and chairs and a few cushions are provided. For floor sitting, feel free to bring your own cushion, blanket, or whatever is comfortable for you.

Living Earth’s dharma circle embraces human nature just as it is: holy and broken, perfect and imperfect, weird and wonderful, all at the same time. Gathering in this way, we are supported by the rich common ground beneath our feet as we travel the terrain of the heart.

In the spirit of sanatana dharma, all faiths, contemplative practices, and levels of experience (or no experience!) are welcome here. Long-time meditators, first-timers, devout and non-believers – or simply curious – anyone and everyone is invited to sit, rest, pray, practice, and be part of this circle.
