Living Earth’s Hats & Scarves Project connects the gentle creative arts of knitting and crochet with an opportunity to help folks in need this winter. Home-made items are a wonderful way to express your compassion, creativity, and care, and to make a difference for folks who need a hand. And Hats & Scarves is a project you can do at home, on the bus, at a concert or lecture, anywhere you want, on your own time.
The Hats & Scarves Project is simple!
Living Earth members, friends, and needle-workers in general knit and crochet (or sew) warm hats and scarves that will be given to children and families throughout our area to keep away the winter cold. Right before Thanksgiving, Living Earth will make our first distribution through community partners who offer emergency assistance and social services.
