A beautiful articulation by Michael Stone, a Buddhist teacher in Toronto, to Occupy Wall Street on the challenges and possibilities that face the Occupy movement.

The Occupy movement’s commitment to creative non-violence is crucial to the movement’s growth and success in a long-term effort of cultural transformation. In the face of escalating violence from police and security forces, steeping ourselves deeply in this commitment will be our most powerful asset.
Whether we are deeply involved in the encampments, providing logistical support, attending GAs and rallies, or participating in marches, everyone who supports the possibility that Occupy represents has a powerful role to play, and will grow immeasurably through this experience.
We are lucky to be alive at this point in the human journey, and to be a part of Occupy!
