Welcome spring on a beautiful day in the country, high above the Columbia Gorge. If the weather is soggy, a crackling fire in the woodstove will keep us cozy, and spacious views across the sweeping meadows will connect us with the land even when we’re indoors.
We’ll meet in the morning, and after settling in, we’ll gather for dharma reflections, and then sit quietly for a while. Settling into the natural stillness of the land in this beautiful place, we’ll spend the morning in silence, in the cabin or meandering quietly across the
land.
At 1:00 pm we’ll come back together to break our silence and share a potluck lunch. After lunch we’ll have time for stories and reflections on how the world is for us as spring opens up. Depending on the weather and the group, we have the option to build a bonfire in the pit outside, or to stay by the fire inside. Half-day participants may join us at 1:00 pm for the afternoon.
Musical instruments are welcome – encouraged, actually – and participants are asked to bring something (a memory, poem, photo, etc.) that represents spring to them. More information, directions, and carpooling suggestions will be provided upon registration.
Registration will close on Friday, March 16 at 5:00 pm.
